How Multihead Weighers Work

Also known as combination scales, multi-head weighers use a number of different weigh heads to generate precise measurements of products by calculating the weight in each weigh head. Each Weigh head has its own precision load cell. The process begins when product is fed into the top of the multihead weigher, where a dispersal system distributes the product into a series of linear feed plates. These linear feed plates vibrate individually. The amplitude of vibration can be varied to increase or decrease the vibration depending on the charachteristics of the product. In turn, these feed into feed hoppers. After a pre programmed time interval the feed hoppers will open and delivery the product into the Weigh Hoppers. Each Weigh Hopper is equipped with a highly accurate load cell. This load cell will calculate the weight of product in the weigh hopper and determine the best combination of available weights required to achieve the desired target weight. After accurate weighing, the product falls into your bagging system or product trays. The more Weigh heads on your multi-head weighing machine, the more product can be added at once, and the more accurately weight portions of product can be produced in the same time period.

12 head Multihead Weigher12 Head Multihead Weighers are our Mid Range Multi Head Weigher and are suitable for weighing products up to 1.5kg in weight. With a maximum operating speed of 100 weights per minute for easy flowing product around 150 - 200g in weight this weigher can greatly improve your packing efficiency. Ideal for granular products, seeds, coffee beans, nuts, dried pet food and many other similar products.

 

 

 

 

 

 

14 head multihead weigherOur 14 Head Multi Head Weigher is currently the fastest and most versatile Multihead Weigher in our range. Capable of 120 weights per minute. This Multihead Weigher can be configured with 1.6 litre, 2.5 litre or 5.5 litre capacity weigh hoppers. Maximum weight per drop can be up to 5kg making it the ideal Weigher for Salad vegetables such as Onions, potatoes, carrots etc. The Salad version is an excellent weigher for loose Lettuce leaves, rocket, spinach leaf etc. In 1.6 litre guise it will comfortably weigh 12g crisps at 120 ppm. Raisins and Peanuts at 100g - 200g can be accurately weighed at speeds of 100 - 120 ppm
